about

Our song-per-month project compiled and remastered for 2020.

In 2008, with our newly finished second album 'Prevention' scheduled for release in early 2009, we decided to release a song each month for the entire year. I guess the function was to explore some different things and to keep getting stuff out to our audience during the wait for the new studio album. The project was titled 'Appendices 2008'. Once the project ended the songs were no longer available, so we thought it was about time we remastered and re-released them here. These are a kind of diary of our process at the time, with some being my lo-fi home demos (It Lives In Parks, One Sixtieth Of A Second) and others developed by us all and recorded to a much higher standard in studios and flats by our piano player and resident engineer Andrew Bush.

'Appendices' is a really varied collection of which we're proud, embarrassed and nostalgic.

Listen kindly to our wee band at play in the early days of home.

Love,
Martin and De Rosa x
